The IFS congratulates Sabrina König, PhD student in Team McElvany, on successfully passing her disputation!
In line with her research interests, which include the areas of attitudes, stereotypes, and stereotype threat, her dissertation in psychology focused on the topic of "Significance of implicit attitudes and stereotype threat in the school context among children and adolescents with and without a migration background" [orig.: Bedeutsamkeit von impliziten Einstellungen und Stereotypenbedrohung im Schulkontext bei Kindern und Jugendlichen mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund]. Her research provides findings on implicit attitudes towards people with a migration background in childhood and adolescence as well as on stereotype threat in vocabulary learning situations at primary school age. The results offer important starting points for future research. Congratulations on this achievement!
