Homeschooling has become the norm since the coronavirus pandemic. But how well is it actually going, what needs to change and how can gaps be filled? In an interview with Focus Online, Nele McElvany, Managing Director of the Institute for School Development Research, emphasizes that it is a very challenging time for parents, children and teachers alike. Homeschooling is a very demanding form of learning, both technically and motivationally. What is needed now, according to Nele McElvany, could be called face-to-face teaching in the digital space.
