In the first IFS Virtual Keynote Series on Education and Societal Diversity, three international renowned and outstanding experts presented their recent research. Within the first keynote, Prof. Pamela Davis-Kean, PhD (University of Michigan), gave an in-depth view into her research on the role of parent educational attainment in the development of children across time and referred to possible interventions. A full insight into these relations is important for developing interventions. The second keynote by Assoc. Prof. DeLeon Gray, PhD (North Carolina State University), introduced a cocurricular training model which is designed to support the next generation of community engaged scholars. He stressed that much research is still needed there. Finally, Prof. Revathy Kumar, PhD (University of Toledo), talked about her multicultural research and shared key findings for example on attitudes of teachers. Moreover, she emphasized the importance of culturally responsive and inclusive learning environments. Thank you very much for the great and interesting lectures as well as for a lively and fruitful discussion!
