Dr. Hugo Lortie-Forgues (Loughborough University) will give a talk on communicating the effects of educational interventions to teachers.

On July 2, Dr. Hugo Lortie-Forgues from Loughborough University will be a guest speaker at the IFS lecture series. The title of his lecture is “How should we communicate the effects of educational interventions to teachers.”

Hugo Lortie-Forgues is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics Education at Loughborough University (UK). His research focuses on how statistical information can be communicated effectively to non-experts, how large-scale evaluation studies can be made more informative, and how the teaching of mathematical and statistical concepts can be improved.

The IFS lecture series takes place on Thursdays from 2:15–3:45 p.m. in Room 022 of the CDI building. This year, the series focuses on the theme “Paths of School Development.”

We are very much looking forward to Dr. Lortie-Forgues‘s presentation and cordially invite anyone interested to attend.
