Professor Carolin Hahnel from Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) was a guest lecturer at the IFS as part of the lecture series.

On June 5, 2025, Professor Carolin Hahnel from Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) gave a lecture as part of the IFS lecture series “Conceptual and Methodological Advances in Research on Teaching and Learning” on the topic “Now tell me, how do you feel about online information? Reading and learning with the Internet” and presented current research results.

Professor Hahnel holds the endowed professorship for “Psychological Diagnostics” at Ruhr University Bochum. The professorship generates scientifically sound findings that are directly incorporated into innovative testing procedures and learning concepts. She is involved in research on digital reading and learning, conducting large-scale assessments, and analyzing process-related behavioral data.
