The advisory board unites expertise from various disciplines and supports the foundation in the future development of its programs.

Professor Nele McElvany has been appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of Stiftung Lesen. The advisory board brings together experienced and prominent voices from research and science to promote reading. With its interdisciplinary composition, the committee reflects how multifaceted reading is, how it influences everyday life and society, and how it therefore needs to be considered comprehensively. The renowned experts from fields such as educational research, psychology, sociology, linguistics and media education advise Stiftung Lesen on strategic decisions, classify current study results and promote the transfer of knowledge between research and practice. The aim is to further strengthen the effectiveness of reading promotion through different perspectives. After all, reading is an indispensable key skill for education, participation and social development.
