We say goodbye to Charlotte Dignath and wish her all the best for her professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt/Main.

After one and a half years of successful collaboration, we are saying goodbye to Charlotte Dignath after she after she accepted a professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt on 31.03.2024. At the IFS, she held the professorship for Empirical Educational Research with a focus on the promotion of cognitive and motivational-affective learning processes and conducted research on the diversity of learners in cognitive, metacognitive and motivational-affective learning processes and the promotion of self-regulation in learners with and without learning difficulties. In January 2024, she hosted the 4th IFS Virtual Keynote Series "Challenges and potentials of artificial intelligence in education research and in the classroom". Together with Michael Becker, she organizes the 9th Dortmund Symposium on Empirical Educational Research on the topic "Socio-emotional and cognitive development in learning: educational goals in competition?!". We would like to thank Charlotte Dignath and her working group for their commitment to the IFS and the time spent together and look forward to continuing our collaboration!
