Professor Julia Dietrich will speak at the IFS-Lecture series on the topic of “Motivation and emotion in learning”.

Professor Julia Dietrich gave a lecture on May 8, 2025 as part of the IFS-Lecture series “Conceptual and Methodological Advances in Research on Teaching and Learning” on the topic of “Short-term dynamics and individual differences in motivation and emotion in learning” and presented her current research findings.

Julia Dietrich is a professor at the Catholic University of Ingolstadt-Eichstätt and conducts research on topics such as heterogeneous learning and development processes and methods of recording them; individualized learning and digitalization; motivation, self-regulation and identity as well as transitions in the education system and from there to work. She uses a variety of empirical approaches in terms of design, data collection methods and data analysis.
