moveo – tool for reflecting on the current study situation
- News
Success in one’s studies depends on many factors. In addition to prior knowledge relevant to the course of study, the personal study situation is also decisive. This is where the "moveo" tool developed by the IFS (WG Lauermann) comes in, which is aimed in particular at students at the beginning of their studies. First, users provide information on various topics: How satisfied are they with their study situation, how much do they enjoy their studies and how interested are they in the content? Potential difficulties in studying are also addressed in the self-test: Do they feel up to the demands, how do they perceive exam situations? The tool takes about 20 minutes to complete. Afterwards, users receive feedback on each topic based on their answers, with a traffic light scale to graphically display their self-assessment. In addition, participants receive information about support options on orca.nrw and at their local universities. Further links to important information about studying, such as BAföG, are also listed in this part of the feedback. The results-PDF can serve as a basis for a personal interview with the university's own student advisor.
