In her keynote speech, Professor Birgit Heppt examined language as a tool for thinking and a medium for learning.

Professor Birgit Heppt was a guest at “Reutlinger Tag 2025” and gave a keynote speech on “Language as a medium of thinking and learning.” The event was organized by the Seminar for Teacher Training Reutlingen.

In her presentation, Prof. Heppt spoke about “Language as a tool for thinking and a medium for learning: The importance and promotion of school-related language skills among monolingual and multilingual learners” and provided fascinating insights into the central role of language in the educational process. Afterwards, she took part in a panel discussion with experts from teacher education, educational practice, and educational administration on key aspects of the topic.
