After much positive feedback, the "Tuesdays for Education" program series is taking a summer break and will continue with new content in fall.

In June 2024, the last date of the Tuesdays for Education series took place for the time being. In 10 webinars, researchers at the IFS presented the latest findings from the field of educational research in connection with the “Progress in International Reading Literacy Study” (PIRLS/IGLU 2021) and invited participants to engage in dialog. The webinar was accompanied by a short report and a press release on the key findings. Whether sluggish digitalization, teacher shortages or the average performance in international comparative studies – the Tuesdays for Education gave rise to many exciting discussions on the most important topics, the need for improvement and possible solutions. Numerous actors involved in our education system took part, such as representatives from education administration, education associations, publishers, school administrators, teachers and pedagogical staff or parent representatives, which led to a very interesting and multi-perspective exchange.

Thanks to the lively participation of many interested educational stakeholders and the positive response from the press, the IFS will continue Tuesdays for Education on a quarterly basis from fall 2024. In addition to the evaluation of results from IGLU 2021, empirical findings from other IFS projects will also be prepared for dialog in the second round of Tuesdays for Education. We look forward to further exchange.
