How are attitudes towards a variety of diversity-generating characteristics shaped? The "DIVE - Diversity-related attitudes" project investigates this key question. Specifically, it examines how implicit, i.e. rather unconscious, and explicit, conscious, attitudes towards characteristics such as gender, migration background and religion are shaped. In addition to the characteristics of diversity-related attitudes, the question of what the predictors and consequences of these attitudes are will also be investigated. The project can systematically expand the state of knowledge on implicit and explicit heterogeneity-related attitudes and serve to derive interventions. The IFS started the surveys on January 22, 2024. Kindergarten children, fourth and ninth graders and adults up to senior citizens will be surveyed. The surveys are expected to continue until the end of July.
