IFS presented a variety of contributions at the 90th AEPF conference in Bielefeld

IFS-Mitarbeitende auf der 90.AEPF-Tagung
An inspiring exchange on early language development, digital learning, and diversity: We look back on a successful AEPF conference!

We look back on a highly successful and inspiring 90th AEPF conference at Bielefeld University! Under the theme "Wissen[schafft]t Ordnung?", we had the opportunity to engage in exciting discussions and gather valuable new impulses for our research. We were very pleased to connect and exchange ideas with so many wonderful colleagues.

The IFS was represented with a wide range of topics, spanning from early language development to questions of diversity in schools. A key thematic focus was on core linguistic competencies: Leonie Fritsch and Anja Riemenschneider highlighted different facets of language education – from early interventions to its implementation in all-day schools. Connected to this, Bengi Su Sacan discussed the development of reading comprehension, while Lena Biele shared insights into linguistic interactions and "classroom talk."

Beyond these language-focused contributions, Sira Neuhaus addressed the highly relevant issue of students' experiences of discrimination. The diverse program was rounded off by Tom Brüggemann, who explored the potential of digital learning environments, and Alissa Müller, who focused on measuring science propaedeutics in upper secondary schools.

We would like to thank the AEPF, all participants, and the local organizing committee at Bielefeld University for a wonderful conference!
