The article on “Resilience in Multicultural Classrooms” was among the 10 most cited articles in the British Journal of Educational Psychology in 2024.

An article by Dr. Francesca Ialuna (University of Duisburg-Essen), Dr. Sauro Civitillo (Utrecht University), Professor Nele McElvany, Professor Birgit Leyendecker (University of Duisburg-Essen), and Professor Philipp Jugert (Ruhr University Bochum) titled “Resilience in multicultural classrooms: School relationships can protect the school adjustment of immigrant, refugee, and non-immigrant children” was among the ten most cited articles in the British Journal of Educational Psychology in 2024.

The article was produced as part of the collaborative research project “SIGN – School Integration of Newly Arrived Children,” which was funded by the MERCUR program of the University Alliance Ruhr at TU Dortmund, Ruhr University Bochum, and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

We congratulate lead author Dr. Ialuna, Professor Nele McElvany, and all co-authors for this outstanding achievement!
