The edited volume on the results of the study “Digital School – The federal indicator 2021”, funded by Deutsche Telekom Stiftung, has been published. In addition to the report published last fall, indicators for central core areas of digitization in schools have been included here. With the focus on lower secondary education, new focus areas can be described in addition to the core areas in the trend from the previous 2017 Federal Indicator, which include the organization of teaching during the pandemic. With the various thematic areas, the situation of teaching and learning with digital media in lower secondary education in Germany can thus be described with regard to numerous facets.
