Professor Dr. Bryony Hoskins from Roehampton University in London was a virtual guest at the start of the IFS lecture series "Political and Civic Education". In her lecture on "Education, democracy and inequality: The social reproduction of inequalities in political engagement", she discussed the theory of the reproduction of social inequalities in political engagement and explained the extent to which the school system can play a role in the fact that working-class children often benefit less from democratic education at school than others. Thank you for this insightful talk!
