IFS discussing current research findings at the 12th conference of the Gesellschaft für Empirische Bildungsforschung (GEBF).

As part of the 12th conference of the Gesellschaft für Empirische Bildungsforschung (GEBF) at the University of Mannheim, which took place from September 27–29, 2025 under the guiding theme “Education as the key to social challenges: Interdisciplinary Contributions from Educational Research”, researchers from the Center for Research on Education and School Development (IFS) presented their latest findings. The IFS was represented on all three days of the event with over 10 contributions in the form of symposia, lectures, paper sessions and posters. The topics were diverse and covered a broad spectrum of empirical educational research, including language support interventions, mechanisms of social inequality, multilingualism, social mobility and the use of artificial intelligence in the educational context. Current research findings from studies conducted at the IFS were also presented.

Many thanks to the University of Mannheim for organizing the conference, for the many exciting and inspiring contributions and for the fruitful exchange!
