The publication by Ruben Kleinkorres, Justine Stang-Rabrig, and Nele McElvany has been awarded by the Journal of Research on Adolescence!

The IFS congratulates: The publication “The longitudinal development of students' well-being in adolescence: The role of perceived teacher autonomy support” by Ruben Kleinkorres, Justine Stang-Rabrig, and Nele McElvany was among the Top Ten most cited articles in the Journal of Research on Adolescence in 2023 and was awarded a certificate.

The study examined how the temporal development of perceived teacher autonomy support relates to changes in students' well-being. In this context, data from a total of 3,446 students from Germany were collected and analyzed. The results showed that satisfaction with school, enjoyment of school, and self-rated health decreased over time, while social integration remained stable. Perceived teacher support also declined between grades 5 and 9. Overall, the results of the study highlighted that the perception of teacher autonomy support plays an important role in adolescents' well-being.

We are very happy for Ruben Kleinkorres, Justine Stang-Rabrig, and Nele McElvany!
