IFS Lecture Series with Dr. Hugo Lortie-Forgues

Dr. Hugo Lortie-Forgues (Loughborough University) will give a presentation on communicating the effects of educational interventions to teachers.

Dr. Hugo Lortie-Forgues was a guest speaker at the IFS lecture series and presented his talk titled “How Should We Communicate the Effects of Educational Interventions to Teachers.”

Hugo Lortie-Forgues is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics Education at Loughborough University (UK). His research focuses on how statistical information can be communicated effectively to non-experts, how large-scale evaluation studies can be made more informative, and how the teaching of mathematical and statistical concepts can be improved.

The IFS lecture series takes place on Thursdays from 2:15–3:45 p.m. in Room 022 of the CDI building. This year, the series focuses on the topic “Paths of School Development.”
