On the topic of “Well-being in the Educational Context: Understanding and Enhancing Student and Teacher Well-Being”, the Center for Research on Education and School Development (IFS), under the direction of Justine Stang-Rabrig and Alyssa Grecu, is hosting the 6th Virtual Keynote Series (VKS) in two sessions on January 19 and 26, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. (CET) each day.
The first VKS session on January 19, 2026, will focus on the well-being of students. Katja Upadyaya from the University of Helsinki, Finland, will speak on the topic of “Insights into student well-being: From demands and resources to balance”. Shannon Suldo from the University of South Florida, USA, will then present her latest research findings on “School-based preventative intervention to foster students' subjective well-being”.
The second VKS session on January 26, 2026, will focus on the well-being of teachers. Irena Buric from the University of Zadar, Croatia, will speak on the topic of “Teachers' and school principals' well-being: What determines it, why it matters, and how to preserve it?” and Junjun Chen from the Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, will speak on “Leading with resilience: A journey of school well-being cascade”.
