TfE on October 6, 2026: AI and Reading Competence Development

TfE explores the question of how we can leverage generative AI to foster reading literacy.

The Tuesdays for Education (TfE) event on 6 October 2026 addresses the question: "How can we leverage generative AI to foster reading literacy?" The event will feature a presentation of the LeseKI:DS project. LeseKI:DS is a digital platform aimed at promoting reading literacy and reading motivation in primary school children. As part of a structured support programme, children receive personalised texts tailored to their reading abilities, created with the help of generative AI. The focus is on the question of whether and how generative AI can, through personalised texts, inspire children's enthusiasm for reading and enhance their reading literacy.

As our guest, we welcome Dr. Ulrich Ludewig from the IFS, project leader of the LeseKI:DS project. Following the presentation and insights from our guest, we cordially invite you to join an open dialogue with all participants.
