Im SWR Kultur Forum diskutiert Ulrich Ludewig mit Nina Kolleck und Kai Maaz über den PISA-Absturz und Konsequenzen für Bildungspolitik.

Dr. Ulrich Ludewig from the Center for Research on Education and School Development (IFS) at TU Dortmund University appeared as a guest on the “SWR Kultur Forum” on September 9, 2026. In a segment titled “Deutsche Bildungsverlierer – Was lehrt der PISA-Absturz?“ (“German Educational Losers—What Can We Learn from the PISA Results?”), he discussed the topic alongside Prof. Dr. Nina Kolleck from the University of Potsdam and Prof. Dr. Kai Maaz from the Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education (DIPF). The program was moderated by Michael Köhler.

The starting point for the program are the latest PISA results: Germany has hit an all-time low. Performance in math, reading, and science is below previous levels. The discussion focuses on possible causes of this trend, shortcomings in education policy, and the question of what consequences this has for schools and the education system.
