International activities at the IFS

The connection to the international scientific community is of great strategic importance for the IFS.  Thus, the IFS is anchored in top national and international research. Furthermore, scientists regularly publish their research results in English-language journals or present them at international conferences. In addition, the institute regularly hosts visiting scholars; on the one hand, staff members spend research stays abroad, and on the other hand, guest lecturers from abroad come to the institute for research stays, project exchanges or guest lectures. Finally, the area of teaching at the institute is also characterized by its international orientation, as there are, for example, teaching concepts for the implementation of intercultural education in teacher training.

Justine Stang-Rabrig is conducting research at the Department of Educational Research at Johannes Kepler University Linz.

How can we better understand students’ well-being? Justine Stang-Rabrig explored this and other questions during her research visit to Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Linz, Austria. The focus of the visit was on professional exchange regarding current research questions, collaborative work on manuscripts, and the development of new research ideas. The visit provided an opportunity to deepen existing collaborations, introduce new perspectives, and further develop joint research.
The visit strengthened academic collaboration across institutional boundaries and provided important impetus for future joint research on well-being in educational contexts.
Assistant Professor Stang-Rabrig (IFS) summarizes: “Personal academic exchange opens up new perspectives on shared research questions and serves as an important foundation for developing innovative ideas and strengthening long-term collaborations.”
