On May 2, Professor Meng-Jung Tsai presented "Using Robotics STEAM Curricula to Enhance Students’ 21st Century Competencies" at the IFS lecture series
On May 2, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Meng-Jung Tsai from the National Taiwan Normal University to the fourth session of the IFS lecture series this summer semester. The Professor of Learning Sciences delivered a presentation on “Using Robotics STEAM Curricula to Enhance Students’ 21st Century Competencies”. She introduced an exciting teacher training program focused on utilizing robotics to enhance the learning motivation of students in the STEAM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Tsai’s research findings demonstrate that integrating robots into the school curriculum could increase students’ learning motivation and self-efficacy.
This semester's IFS lecture series revolves around the overarching theme “Thriving in the digital world: How to foster student skills and well-being”, offering participants engaging talks by (inter)national experts.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Professor Tsai for her insightful contribution and to all participants for the stimulating exchange!
