We are pleased to welcome Dr. Alan Koenig from the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST) at the University of California (UCLA) to kick off the IFS Lecture Series, "What's new in Educational Research? Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Research Projects in Empirical Educational Research" on April 14 at 2:15 pm digitally. As a senior researcher, he specializes in the development and application of innovative technologies in teaching, particularly in the area of automatic assessment in computer-based games and simulations. Therefore, his presentation will focus on "Fostering Competences through Serious Educational Games". Afterwards, Dr. Annika Ohle-Peters will present results from the project EQuAL-I, for which serious educational game scenarios were used and evaluated in teacher training seminars. We are looking forward to a lively participation and discussion!

Students and employees of TU Dortmund University are cordially invited to this lecture series, which will take place in room 022 of the CDI building.
